If you’re healthy enough to obtain coverage on the individual market, need a short-term plan, or if you have a small business and qualify for small group, Health Plan One can help. Otherwise, there are offerings like Ohio Medicaid, Healthy Start, and Healthy Families. All of these government programs can help those who are medically uninsurable or who cannot afford private insurance to obtain basic health coverage. We, here at Health Plan One, can help you figure out which category you fall into and help find the plan that best fits your needs.

If you are a self-employed resident of Ohio you can qualify for a small group plan. Also, if you own a small business and have at least two eligible employees you can apply at any time during the year. In order for an employee to be eligible he or she must work 25 hours a week. Small groups meeting these requirement may apply but can be underwritten meaning that no one can be denied coverage but rates will be based on the health history of each employee enrolling.
