Local presence marks renewed focus on the Central Valley

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., March 29, 2007 — Aetna (NYSE: ?ET) announced today that it has opened a new office in Sacramento to support the expansion of the company’s business in the Central Valley. Aetna is establishing a local presence and devoting resources to increasing access to high-quality, affordable health care and increasing membership in the state’s fast-growing central region.

Employees responsible for sales and service, and network management are based in the new office, located at 1215 K Street. A medical director to oversee the Central Valley region is expected to join the Sacramento staff soon.
