Queens celebrates healthy new business with Atlantis Health Plan

As health care costs skyrocket for small businesses in New York City, Atlantis is making a significant contribution to the health of its Atlantis members by opening its second Medical Group on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in Kew Gardens, Queens.

The opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives from the Queens Borough President's office and Queens Chamber of Commerce President Bill Egan.

The new state-of-the-art facility, located at 80 - 02 Kew Gardens Boulevard, offers Atlantis Health Plan members exclusive access to pediatric services, blood work, immunizations, sonograms, EKGs and others tests and a Wellness Center with no co-pays and no pre-authorizations. Members also receive the benefit of zero wait time - in both the lobby and exam rooms. The Queens Medical Group is located near public transportation and is easily reached by car.

Atlantis' first Medical Group opened in Brooklyn in the Fall of 2005, to rave reviews from its members. "Prior to my first appointment I spoke with a few people in the lobby who had already been there for several visits… one gentleman said that the staff treated him like family. Others were amazed by the technology and the state of the art equipment in the medical office. Atlantis' CEO, Dr. Sury Anand, said that the company will open its third Medical Group in Manhattan in late August of 2006, which will offer a vast array of medical services.
