SelectHealth is the new name for an old company, IHC Health Plans, Inc. The name was changed in April 2006. SelectHealth is an integrated subsidiary of Intermountain Healthcare. Under their SelectValue network option, you choose from 19 participating hospital and over 1,100 participating physicians. The SelectMed network option allows you to choose from 28 participating hospitals and over 3,000 participating physicians. The SelectCare network option allows you to choose from 34 participating hospitals and over 3,700 participating physicians. Both the Select:Med and SelectCare offer a point of service feature.

The plan options you can choose from are the HMO/Plus and the HealthSave plans. The HMO/Plus offers deductible options that start as low as $250. You can select from a variety of co-pay and coinsurance options. Standard benefits include adult and pediatric immunizations which are covered 100%. Also, depending on the tier chosen for prescription drugs, you can pay as little as $10 for a 30 day supply of a generic drug. The HealthSave plan offers deductible options that start at $1,500 for single coverage and $3,000 for family coverage. The HealthSave plan is a high deductible health plan that is used in conjunction with a HSA. The HSA is a tax-advantaged account used to pay medical expenses funded by contributions from you on a pre-tax basis. Money can be withdrawn from the HSA to pay for qualified medical expenses.
