           A Health Savings Account (HSA) is an account funded by your tax-free contributions to use toward your qualified medical expenses and prescriptions. Others may also contribute to your HSA.          The FIT plans are UniCare’s best selling plans in Texas and Illinois for many reasons. Unicare offers impressive preventive medicine benefits and unlimited office visits with a $30 copay. Unicare’s FIT plans also offer extensive coverage. For example, Unicare pays 80% coinsurance for in-network covered services in Michigan after the deductible is met, and 100% coverage (with deductible waived) for certain preventive care services. Unicare also allows its consumers to carry over their annual deductible. The FIT plans and Saver 2000 plan feature a fourth-quarter carryover for the annual deductible. If your annual deductible is not met by the end of the year, the covered expenses incurred during the months of October through December and applied to your annual deductible for that year will be applied toward your annual deductible for the following year.
