Bill Stapleton - Chief Executive Officer - Bill has held senior management roles in the managed care industry for the last 15 years working at Oxford Health Plans, Inc., HCA, Inc., and Health Net, Inc. Before founding HealthPlanOne, he was Senior Vice President for Health Net of the Northeast, Inc., a subsidiary of Health Net, Inc. (NYSE: HNT). His responsibilities included product development and managing the New Jersey and Connecticut Medicaid programs.
Bill earned his CPA at KPMG Peat Marwick in Boston. He holds a BA degree from Holy Cross College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
David Henderson – Chief Financial Officer - David has eighteen years of finance and operations management experience across a diverse group of organizations. Prior to joining Health Plan One, Mr. Henderson was previously Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development at Open Solutions, which focuses on the financial services marketplace. He oversaw mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance and investor relations, and was a key contributor to the company's growth by closing 15 acquisitions and raising over $2 billion. He was previously the Director of Product Management at Palm and AnyDay and began his professional career in the financial services industry at the Carlyle Group and Dillon Read. He holds a BA from Yale University in History and Economics.
Dawn Ozolins - VP, Product Development & Carrier Relations - Before joining Health Plan One, Dawn was Director of Product Development and Management for Health Net of the Northeast, Inc., a subsidiary of Health Net, Inc. (NYSE: HNT). She was responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Consumer Directed Health Plans and all products sold through the Guardian Life Insurance Company and Health Net $1 billion joint venture, as well as for introducing product profitability and service improvements to existing Northeast region products.
From 1992 to 2000, Dawn worked at United Health Care in various account management roles including administering the Connecticut Health Reinsurance Association, Connecticut's High Risk Insurance Pool.
Dawn holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Connecticut.
Trevor Prout - VP, Marketing - Trevor Prout joins Health Plan One from the online travel agency, Priceline.com, where he directed the company's search-engine marketing efforts for more than four years. Prior to joining Priceline.com, Trevor held various marketing management roles at a number of innovative technology companies, including ECM SMARTS, IBG, i3 Mobile, and Blackbaud.
Trevor received his MBA in marketing from New York University's Stern School of Business and his BA from Yale University.
Jim Pugliese - Chief Development Officer - Jim has an extensive background in the insurance industry, beginning with Oxford Health Plan in the early 1990’s. In 1996, he became President of Weston Insurance Brokerage, and along with his team, created BenefitPort, one of the largest group health General Agencies in the country, financed by Marsh Capital. After BenefitPort, Jim was President of LifeOptions, a national life insurance specialty finance company.
Jim graduated with a BS Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut.
Mike Stapleton - Chief Technical Officer - Mike Stapleton is a software systems architect and developer specializing in the financial services industry with extensive experience designing and implementing scalable web-based and desktop solutions. He has worked on several large information system projects at Fidelity Investments, including MaxxBrokerTM, an online stock-trading site offered to brokerages and banks for account management and clearing. In addition he worked as an architect on StreetScapeTM, the $20 million n-Tier web platform for Fidelity's Institutional Brokerage Group's electronic products. Most recently he worked at bSwift, LLC a provider of employee benefit software and content. Mike holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Loyola College.
Tom Wicker - Vice President, Sales & Operations - Over the past 10 years Tom has held management roles in both the health insurance sale and mortgage industry. Tom's main focus was not only the daily management of the sales organization, but also to implement new technologies to increase the production and efficiency of the sales representative. Tom's career began at Oxford Health Plans in NY.
Tom holds a degree in Health Care Administration from Quinnipiac University.
Kevin Hill - Kevin Hill graduated from Rutgers University in 1985 and went on to work for Great West Life as an account executive from June 1985 through June 1989 in Tampa, FL and Columbus, OH.
Kevin then moved to Oxford Health Plans from 1989 to 2006, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure, Kevin opened the Oxford NJ Health Plan as Director in January 1991 and was promoted to CEO of Oxford Health Plans NJ in 1994. Kevin was responsible for sales, account management, underwriting, Medicaid, and Medicare with a staff of 700. In 5 years, Kevin helped expand the plan to cover 400,000 members. In 1998, he was named company-wide SVP of sales and account management. In 2000, Kevin was promoted to EVP of sales, account management, marketing, and product development, reporting to CEO Norm Payson. Upon United's purchase of Oxford Health Plans, Kevin was named CEO of both Oxford Health Plans (now a UHG sub) and of United Healthcare NE, reporting to Dave Wichmann, CEO of UHC.
Gerald Poch - Gerald Poch is the Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of FirstMark Capital. Jerry is directly responsible for investments in infrastructure and serves as a senior member of FirstMark Capital's Investment Committee. Prior to founding FirstMark Capital, Jerry was a Senior Managing Director of Pequot Ventures.

Chan Wheeler - Chan Wheeler's career in healthcare has spanned almost three decades of involvement with some of the leading healthcare organizations. Chan is the former CEO of Uniprise, a UnitedHealth Group company. In addition to being CEO of Uniprise, Chan held various senior posts at UnitedHealth Group. Before joining UnitedHealth, Chan worked in executive positions with CIGNA HealthCare and with Maxicare Healthcare Corporation.
Divya Gugnani, (observer) - Divya Gugnani joined FirstMark Capital (formerly Pequot Ventures) in 2006 and is now a Vice President, focusing on information technology investments. Previously, Divya was at Millennium Technology Ventures, where she made secondary direct investments in information technology and software companies.Prior to Millennium, Divya was an associate at iFormation Group, a joint venture between The Boston Consulting Group, General Atlantic Partners, and Goldman Sachs. At iFormation, she worked on several financings for site59, a web-based travel site, and the eventual sale of the business to Travelocity.
Divya also engaged in the operational build of ipValue, an intellectual property commercialization firm, and provided the management team with ongoing strategic, financial, and recruiting guidance. Divya received a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She also holds a degree from the French Culinary Institute. Divya serves on the Board of Directors of Superior Access Insurance Services and Swingtide.
Alan Patricof, (observer) - Alan Patricof is the founder and managing director of Greycroft LLC. A longtime innovator and advocate for venture capital, Alan entered the industry in its formative days with the creation of Patricof & Co. Ventures Inc., a predecessor to Apax Partners – today, one of the world's leading private equity firms with $35 billion under management. He stepped back from the daily administration and operational aspects of Apax Partners, LP in 2001 to concentrate on a group of small venture deals on its behalf.
Over the course of his 40 year career in private equity, Alan has been instrumental in growing the venture capital field from a base of high net-worth individuals to its position today with broad institutional backing, as well as playing a key role in the essential legislative initiatives that have guided its evolution. He has helped build and foster the growth of numerous major global companies, including, among others, America Online, Office Depot, Cadence Systems, Cellular Communications, Inc., Apple Computer, FORE Systems, NTL, IntraLinks, and Audible. He was also a founder and chairman of the board of New York magazine, which later acquired the Village Voice and New West magazine.
